Absolute Leadership Development, founded in 2000, is a federally incorporated charity. From taking hundreds of students to engage in humanitarian relief work to presenting a message of hope to hundreds of thousands, each year Absolute continues to empower a generation to live with purpose - and to change their world.

Vision

To empower emerging generations to change their world by living their lives with purpose.

Strategic Observations

  • Youth are the key to affecting social change on a national level
  • The most efficient avenue to reaching an entire generation is the education system
  • The foundational needs in North American youth are purpose and perspective
  • Although we are far from it, it is well within the reach of our society to end world poverty

Core Objectives

  1. To reach every teen with a message of purpose
  2. To offer every teen an opportunity to develop a global perspective
  3. To provide every teen a listening ear when they need it
  4. To mentor young leaders in a changing world
  5. To enable education, business and social institutions to work together to address global issues on an intergenerational level

Corresponding Programs

  1. Motivational ExperienceHigh School Presentations. Teams of trained young adults travel all across Canada, and internationally, bringing our Think Day program to schools. This is a comprehensive package that leverages our one hour presentation by adding workshops and other modules. Think Fast, our one-hour presentation, consists of live music, personal stories, multi-media and a hard hitting message of purpose and hope. This is the most demanded program of its kind in Canada. At this point, these presentations are reaching over 200,000 students each year.
  2. Online Student Help LineOnline Student Help Line. After students see an Absolute presentation, they often need someone to talk to. Absolute has set up a chat service that is linked to our website, which is staffed by qualified volunteers. Thousands of students utilize this service and get help. In conversations on this help line, students receive a new sense of hope, and in the process, numerous suicides have been averted.
  3. Hero HolidayHero Holiday. Quite possibly the most popular program that Absolute runs, we take large numbers of students to developing nations to participate in humanitarian efforts. Hero Holiday is growing at an exponential rate with over 450 participants in only two years of operation. For our upcoming third year, we are planning more than 10 trips, with the potential to bring over 600 students to such countries as Dominican Republic, Mexico, Thailand and Cambodia.
  4. School of Leadership. This is a one year program for students who are done high school and would like to “make a difference” in Canada. The participants are mentored in character, personal development and leadership and then added to one of the traveling road teams. Here, the students will become an integral part of the presentation and put their training into practice in a relevant environment.
  5. The Hero NetworkThe Hero Network. Absolute has been consistently encouraging schools to form advocacy groups for socially responsible students and staff. The Hero Network provides a structure for business, education and other social systems to be involved in social improvement programs. Scholarships, group trips and curriculum make up the core of this program.

this is a student from hanley school, and i’d like to say thank you for coming to our school. many people were touched by the stories that were told to us, and several of the students were asking themselves,”why did i do that?” they had realized how much of their lives that they had messed up. personally, i’d say that you need to come back! everyone enjoyed the band (STEREO TRAP). again, thanks for coming.

    Hi guys,

Not sure if you got my first message; but I have talked with Mel since then and I understand that everything is going very well.

So glad that you are enjoying the trip and working hard to help the local people. I’m sure your efforts are very much appreciated and the difference you are making in their lives goes further than you can probably imagine.

Love you guys (soooo much) and am extremely proud of you.

Hai! You guys came to our school, D.W.K.S, it was sooo awesome! Did you like seeing the kids get dunked in the dunk-tank?
That Band “All Left Out” was wicked cool, the concert was awesome. We really enjoyed the music!

Meagan- that was such a sad story, but it made my friends and I to promise that, NO matter what, we would always stick together and live life to it’s fullest. And tell Gem that her story also taught me to never give up.
