Yep, it’s true. This is probably the last time you will hear from Absolute. But it’s not because we are falling off the map - it’s because we have an exciting announcement about what we have been up to!
Absolute is accepting applications for performing artists to tour with our Think Day presentations during our Fall 2011 tours and our Spring 2012 tours. This is an incredible opportunity for up-and-coming bands that have what it takes to rock out in front of tens of thousands of high school students. Some of the bands that we’ve worked with in years past include: Hollowick (Rides Again), All Left Out, Hundredfold, Kiros, Hello Kelly, The Ocean Buried, and Tonight Tonight (Beauti). This is what we are looking for in a band:
Message, lyrics, and lifestyle are consistent with Absolute’s positive and school-friendly message. If you sing about and/or promote sex, drugs, and alcohol, this is not your gig. Profanities in your lyrics also won’t get you many points.
Good sound that appeals fairly broadly to a high school auidence
Professionalism in image, merchandise, and album production
Good work ethic and attitude.
If you are interested in applying, please read through this Tour Summary, and then contact JP (Jon Peters) at jp@absolute.org or 906 777 1662. If you are interested in Fall 2011, contact JP immediately.

Christmas is always a special time of year, and for many of Absolute’s friends, Christmas 2010 will be a year to remember - because of people like you. Your generosity and thoughtfulness helped to make our 2010 Christmas Hamper Delivery a huge success. Each home that received their hamper was one that was filled with thankfulness and each gift was put to great use.
In Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Haiti, we were able to bring gifts made possible by you - and together, we were able to remind each family, home, and children’s home that they are remembered. Through your generosity, they were reminded that we believe in their future. Thank you.
Megan and Mike have been married for four years. They live in Calgary, Alberta, where Megan claims they have a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains. Megan is originally from Saskatchewan, and in 2004, she moved to Ontario to be a part of our School of Leadership program in Absolute.

Erika Eason has been a part of the Absolute picture for a long time. We first met her on one of our first Hero Holidays in Dominican Republic and it was there we made a connection that has carried past an experience and into an entire transformation.
